CryoEM for Life Sciences at Lund University
Services
CryoEM at Lund University has a sample preparation lab installed with Mark IV Vitrobot (Thermo Fisher) to prepare cryo grids. Samples can be prescreened by a negative stain, and the cryo grids can be shipped to SciLifeLab or other facilities. In the beginning of 2025 there will also be a state of the art Glacios2 cryo electron microscope with a direct electron detector Falcon4i in our facility. The instrument is presently being installed and all interested users are welcome to contact us for more details.
Data processing
The cryo-EM facility at Lund University has two workstations, Abisko and Lofoten for image processing and sample optimization, and 3D processing and model building using software packages, like Relion and Cryosparc. Data processing can also be done on local and national supercomputing resources.
